Review: I am with fatty: lose 50 pounds in 50 wretched weeks at Ed Ugel

By Elizabeth Perez on 22. september 2010

I’m with Fatty: Loosing 50 Pounds in 50 Miserable Weeks by Ed Ugel I just finished the book I with fatty by Ed Ugel. I must say it is an entertaining read, but there were times when I was uncomfortable.Call me old fashioned (which I doubt), but there are some things you just don't talk about, let alone to share with the world in a book, but it is just me.

Don't get me wrong. I am not a forkrampede, purse-lipped, no-time-to-fun, all work, no play kind of gal. There were many times when Ugels vid and sans for the handling of his situation had me laughing out loud. It can not be denied, he is funny. I the way his mind works. He starts with one innocent trode and thinking evolves quickly to a whole mess of ideas. It is entertaining. but I would say, to hear the details about how he ever-so-have tried to rest his testicles on her sleeping friend head (which proved to be a total stranger, you must) was just a little too much. But who I am judge.

After finding out that he is suffering from Sleep Apnea – a condition that you stop breathing while sleeping – and are doomed to bear a CPAP mask (much to own disgust and his wife's as well) for the rest of his life, decides to change the Ugel some things about themselves. Ugel, which is both self-proclaimed and medical proclaimed to be a food addict and compulsive Eater, embarked on a journey to lose "50 pounds in 50 wretched weeks" (which is called good coverage of the book). While he did not fully achieve its goal, he came pretty darn close. Ugel lost 46 pounds for 50 weeks.

Ugels book offers to anyone who is struggling with weight loss or find comfort in food, some great insight and advice in order to overcome these problems. And to the Ugel, it is not only about giving up the food he loves and rearrange his life to fit in a visit with trainers and nutritionists, it is about to find out why he finds comfort in food and why he is a compulsive Eater.

As he begins to deal with the questions and see why he is the way he is, he also discovers he has a love for playing racquetball and shall enjoy in the gym. It is a concrete positive step in the right direction, and he begins to lose some serious weight.

Around three quarters of the way through the book, just when you think he has beaten the odds, Ugels wife and two daughters to go on holiday to Maine and Ugel goes on a week-long binge of fatty, processed food and pints (Yes, I said pints with an s) of ice. I was so mad at him. He had makes it good.He had even gone so far as to do a cleanse (nothing but juice a week) and get a colonic. Yikes.Talk about dedication. While I was reading about $ 40 worth of Chinese take out, fillets-O-Fish and Walnut Danish rings, I wanted to Grab him by his shoulders and shake him.

With binge behind him and his family at home Ugel gets back on track and focused on fulfilling its goal.Even if he falls short in the end, he pulled by an amazing feat and really changed his life. These 46 pounds — and unsightly CPAP machine — is a thing of the past.

In absolute, I think with fatty is worth reading, but remember that it is not for the faint of heart, and certainly I would not give the book to a kid or even young teen to read, but if you're looking for something to keep you laugh and even make you a little uncomfortable, grab a copy and check it out., at the very least you will get an up close and personal look at what it is to get your colon cleansing.

Fit Flop Review

A few weeks ago I had a stroke of luck, and went for a little money in a casino. I gave myself a small budget shopping as I haven't had much time to shop and really didn't have the money available to renew my wardrobe, as I'd like. The first thing that I bought was a pair of fit flops. I was going to opt for cheaper Walkstar range at L 36, but I thought I could also disburse a little more for the pair that I really like!

electra-silver-fit-flopsFit Flops-50 € from John Lewis

I bought the sequinned evening gown silver Fit Flops Electra range of John Lewis for 50 €. I consider studded ' Rebel ' fit flops but at L 60 for a couple, I had to draw the line somewhere!

How fit flops?

Looks-wise, the fit flops are fairly chunky but the dearest designs are worth to choose if you want to use fit Flops to work and want to look a bit smarter. I've got scary-looking skinny legs and ankles so on me that I look like I'm wearing someone else's shoes!

The range of Electra come in white/black sequins, iridescent, gold and bronze so you can always color-coordinate your fit flops with the clothes you wear normally. fit Flops creators also make shoes for men and children. Fortunately for those who want to try fit flops, but cannot get along with the toe-posts, there are other projects that have the same microwobbleboard technology offer the same results. The clogs are discreet, but not quite to my taste, but there are versions open-toe sandal for men who are particularly good looking for the summer. In women there is the "Rockstar Walkstar ' of shoes is a flip flop style Among crystals encrusted in. These are only available from Harrods though.

What fit flops like?

My Fit Flops are extremely comfortable. This is because the sole of the shoe is coarse mode when your heel strikes the ground he is well filled. You'd think that would hurt flip-flops are intended to give you a "workout as you walk ', but start with I wasn't really sure what they were working as I walked.Just noticed the difference between normal shoes Fit Flops and when I took them. They are certainly very comfortable to use, and even if they didn't do what argued, I'd be happy to use them, but resent the price.

Fit Flops really work?

The flop adjust the site, your shoes are the following:

Ease back of strainEase pressure on your knees and anklesImprove your muscle tone of postureImprove

Fit Flops incorporate microwobbleboard technology – this basically-stablises the body as you walk working their calves and lower more than you would if you were walking barefoot or in normal shoes. pressure on your heels, knees and ankles are relieved as walks the wearer. After wearing the Fit Flops regularly, you should note that calves are slimmer and firmer below have not been officially made. studies on people who are overweight, but those who have weight problems and bought a pair of fit flops reported that pressure on your knees and ankles was a relief and as a result people Fit Flop overweight have been more mobile and able to start your weight loss journey seriously.

Conclusion:If you don't spend L 35-L 80 on a pair of fit flops then are really comfortable enough to justify the price. like most women, I have cellulite and appearance it makes me feel a bit sick if I catch sight of my background or thighs in mirror. after two weeks of wearing almost constant from my Electra Fit Flops, my background looks a little less dimpled but I imagine you would have to use them for much more to see a real improvement without gym energetic visits.

I bought my Fit Flops John Lewis, who sell a wide variety of styles and colors of fit Flops. They also free standard delivery on orders over L 30, which is pretty handy.
